I Bought New Tyres!

I finally changed my tyres today. I have been researching on the type of tyres that would give me a good sense of comfort and security on the road yet gentle on my wallet. I took about 2 weeks checking out forums on Singapore as well as in Malaysia websites to get some kind of picture of the few tyre brands/models that I had in mind.

I settled on a set of Falken Digneo DN 614 tyres. They cost me $110/piece.

Today was a perfect day for me to try out the new tyres. When I brought it out of the workshop, the roads were dry. The tyres performed admirably, absorbing all the tarmac had to offer, leaving me with nothing but absolute silence in my cabin. A few hours later, the heavens opened up and poured heavy rain down onto the hot roads. I found to my surprise, the grip on the wet roads was excellent, braking was confident and it assured me to drive my car at a reasonably fast speed.

It is a well known fact that a good gauge of any new tyres would be at its 10000 km mark. But I cannot help but to so-called praise my new set of tyres as it truly lived up to my expectations on Day 1.

Till the next review at 10000 km mark.........

I’m glad to hear that your wheels lived up to your expectations and their reputation. Considering that it rains quite frequently there, it’s very important to have wheels that can keep a good grip on the road even when wet. I bet those new wheels gave you comfort and peace of mind when they rode safely and securely on wet streets.
